I purchased the Red – 1/2″ wide / Resistance 15-25 lbs band to help rehabilitate my shoulder. I’m stronger than average and the red band provides enough resistance for the YTWL exercises that I am using it for.
I am 80 years old and am losing the strength in my arms and legs. I worked out with the ELZU today and feel the resistance of the red band is just right. I have to be sitting while working out as I fall easily. I was concerned about that but it isn’t a problem. I put the band around my shoulders and one foot at a time working with arms and legs. I would recommend this resistance band for all elderly or anyone who needs to work in a confined area.
These resistance bands are great to use at home or for workouts when you are traveling. It is such a small and simple product that really helps build muscle strength. It doesn’t take much space so it’s easy to store or take with you wherever you go.
I got the red one because I’m 5′ 3″ and weight about 115lb. I am fairly strong but this one works fine.
This band is so versatile. I’m sure there are tons of workouts on youtube that you could look up. I like to stand on the band and do bicep curls, put my foot in the band and do leg extensions, I also like to just hold onto the band and try to stretch it. There are a ton of options.
I originally wasn’t sure how I was going to like the rectangle shaped edges of this band. I have always used circular bands. I didn’t even notice the different shape though. It’s a great product and it will be a great addition to my workout equipment.
I have just started physical therapy for my muscles because I have fibromyalgia. I don’t get enough exercise because I am always in pain. With therapy I have started a routine to get my muscles going again to release my inflammation. I use my ELZU resistance band during my therapy session.
It’s is pretty thick as far as resistance bands go, and very narrow. I am used to the ones that look like big rubber bands. It fits perfect into my therapy routine when I am working my leg muscles. It has a good pull to it, so it’s not very flimsy. It’s 41″ inches in length, so it can be used by both men and women, and most sizes and shapes.
I gave the product 5 stars. I am pretty happy with my purchase. I would definitely buy this again. I think the price is an excellent value. In the stores I have seen resistance bands almost twice as high as this one.
This exercise pull up assist band is a great addition to my home gym and workout routine. This isn’t the tube style band set but rather a flat rubber band type that is perfect for doing assisted pullups. Some physical therapy trainers use these as training tools as well and they have a variety of uses and exercises that can be done with them. I purchased the green one which is a longer style and good for leg exercises in addition to the pullups.
The item is heavier than I thought and a very tough feeling rubber material. It had quite a nasty smell when I first opened the package but that dissipated quickly and now there’s no smell at all. I could see getting a couple more of these in different sizes to really add to my options.
Whether you’re trying to get your first pull up (or want to squeeze out some extra reps), work on gymnastic moves like the front lever, or just to add resistance to your workouts, these resistance bands are great. These bands come in different widths which correspond to different amounts of resistance, the wider the band, the more resistance. The great thing about this is that, for example, to get your first pull up, once the wider band becomes relatively easy for you to do twelve reps with, get a smaller band, which provides less resistance or assistance so you can increase your strength until that becomes easy for you and get the next smaller band and so on. It is really easy to loop around and then through your pull up bar so setting the band up and putting it away is so easy and fast. I would recommend getting a stool or chair to make it easier to step into the resistance band for pull ups, otherwise you will be fighting and squirming around with the band just trying to get set up for your exercise.
The bands stretch very far and seems stronger than I would have thought, although it still freaks me out a little bit at the thought of the resistance band snapping of tearing like a giant rubber band and hitting me… 😉 So far so good, though and the resistance bands seem very strong.
I was looking for an elastic band that would serve me for my training and this training helps me all my muscles, especially the muscles, big as chest, back and legs.
It is quite resistant 100 to 120 pounds, has a very good quality, I can stretch enough and does not break.
